Join us for a welcoming, relaxed space where you can learn contemporary rhythms on a traditional West African drum, connect with others, and enjoy the powerful sound of group drumming. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm.

DJEMBE TAP POSITION

Hands are placed relaxed but firm over the drum head with fingers together and straight. Strike near the edge of the drum using the pads of your fingers. Allow your fingers to rebound off the drum immediately after striking. The sound should be A pitch clear and melodic
